I was down in southern Illinois again mid March, to dig for some beautiful blue fluorite crystals with several friends from all over the country. We were staying south of there in western Kentucky and crossed the Ohio River each morning and evening on the ferry at Cave-in-Rock…the first evening back across we reached the crossing just in time for the start of a gorgeous sunset..we had to wait for the ferry to come back to the north side of the river to pick us all up, so I first walked down to the bank of the river to shoot my initial images….<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

One of my buddies, Chuck Reed photographed me down by the riverside, photographing the setting sun….<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

…finally the ferry made it back across and picked us all up to take us to the south side…we all got out of our vehicles to watch this beautiful story unfold….<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

…simply gorgeous…and this is what we were digging for down there….<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
